Pre-Vet Summer Camps

By popular demand from parents and several VERY ENTHUSIASTIC tweens and teens in our community we present to you;

Montana PRE-Vet Summer Camp @ARK UNLEASHED!!!

Pre-Veterinary Medicine Summer Day Camp designed for tweens and teens who love animals.

WHEN?
July 28th-31st for our younger enthusiasts ages 11-14.
August 4th-7th for our high school students ages 15-18.
9am-3pm Monday-Thursday
(Dates will be opening for 2026 registration in January 2026)

WHAT TO BRING?
Students will bring their own sack lunch
(Snacks will be provided)
Lots of enthusiasm
All of the questions!

CURRICULUM
Over the course of the camp students will rotate through all aspects of veterinary hospital life in an age-appropriate presentation, being introduced to Anatomy, Anesthesiology, Physiology, Medicine, Surgery, Laboratory Science as well as Diagnostics.
Discovery stations will include;

• Lab station demonstrations with hands on opportunities to run bloodwork and use microscopes
• Surgery viewing Tuesday and Thursday
• Pharmacology learning about medication types and prescriptions
• Medicine with exam room real life shadowing
• Horse, sheep, goat, cat and dog husbandry and examinations
• Daily Q and A sessions to round off each day

IS THIS FOR ME?
The desire to attend a vet college or vet tech school is not required to attend! This program opens the participants eyes into careers in veterinary medicine, veterinary technology as well as toxicology, pathology, clinical laboratory science, animal husbandry, behavioral training, grooming, animal health industry sales and much more. If you love animals, and want to learn more about how to care for them this program is for you!

WHAT IS INCLUDED?
Each student will be provided with a workbook, name tag lanyard, a t-shirt and as much fun as they can handle! A certificate of completion with topics covered will be awarded to each student who completes the program. Any transportation with the staff to field destinations will be included.

REGISTRATION
Enrollment is via e-mail (careteam@arkveterinarypractice.com) and subject to closure upon the program reaching maximum capacity. We request a letter from each student be submitted at the time of registration with their goals for why they want to attend pre-vet camp week. We do not require a letter of recommendation, transcripts, or essays. Registrations for our MT Pre-Vet camp will be accepted until a week before the program begins, or when the program fills, whichever occurs first. It is recommended that students enroll as early as possible to reserve their space as we have limited spaces this year with only 2 weeks being offered.

One 100% paid scholarship is available by raffle at the Open House on 6/28/25.
