Dr. Sarah Lavelle

Originally from the UK, Dr. Sarah earned her veterinary degree from The Royal Veterinary College, London University in 2001. Growing up on a dairy farm surrounded by animals, she knew early on that she wanted to dedicate her life to veterinary medicine and the human animal bond. During her studies, she completed the North American Veterinary Licensing Exam and became licensed to practice in the U.S.

After graduation, Dr. Sarah joined the UK government’s DEFRA team, responding to the Foot and Mouth Disease outbreak in northern England. She later completed a large animal internship at Washington State University, School of Veterinary Medicine, and moved to Bozeman, where she’s been practicing mixed animal medicine and surgery since 2002.

In 2011, Dr. Sarah founded Ark Veterinary Practice to create a welcoming, integrative hospital for all species—offering advanced diagnostics, surgery, and preventative care alongside acupuncture, chiropractic, and nutritional support. As a Certified Fear Free Professional, she’s passionate about reducing anxiety in pets lives and supporting the human-animal bond.

Her special interests include small animal and exotic internal medicine and soft tissue surgery and senior pet wellness. She’s an active member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, AVMA, and MVMA, and regularly attends continuing education events across the U.S. and abroad.

Dr. Sarah is also dedicated to service—volunteering locally with 4H, schools, and community programs, and recently started providing pre-vet summer camps for 11-18 year olds.

When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll likely find her exploring Montana’s great outdoors with her husband and son. She loves trail riding, dancing, floating rivers, and backcountry skiing.

Dr. Stacy Davidson

Dr. Stacy Davidson grew up in Mississippi and spent her days in the woods catching and helping critters, from lizards and snakes to birds and even moles. It was always her dream to become a veterinarian. She was accepted into the Early Entry Program at Mississippi State University and graduated from the Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Throughout her career, Dr. Stacy has specialized in providing personalized care tailored to each pet’s individual needs.
Dr. Stacy practiced in Seattle and South Carolina before settling in Montana in 2019. She spent the last couple years as the Veterinarian for the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone before joining the team at Ark Veterinary Practice. She is looking forward to taking care of pets and their people again. Dr. Stacy is passionate about animal welfare and is deeply committed to delivering high-quality care to her patients. Her clinical skills cover a wide range of services, including routine exams, dental cleanings and procedures, diagnostics, surgical procedures and medical management. With a focus on proactive medicine, she believes that regular check-ups and preventative medicine can help pets live longer, healthier lives.
In addition to her work caring for pets, Dr. Stacy loves spending time outdoors with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys art projects such as painting, crafts, glass work, podcasting and writing.

Dr. Laura

Doctor Laura graduated from Cornell Veterinary school in 1989. A former practice owner, Doctor Laura especially enjoys internal medicine, ophthalmology and dermatology. Dr Laura moved to Montana last fall to spend time with her one year old Grandson. In her free time she enjoys horseback riding, skiing and hiking.

Cassidy

Patient Care Coordinator

Cassidy is a native Montanan – raised on her family cattle ranch near Augusta in the Rocky Mountains. She grew up with a love for animals from an early age and pursued her interest in science and veterinary medicine by graduating from Montana State University with her microbiology degree in 2021. With her pre-requisites for veterinary school in hand, she plans to start veterinary school in 2023 and return to serve her rural Montana community upon graduation.
At Ark Veterinary Practice Cassidy has found a work family who she enjoys growing with and serving her community alongside. Every day is an exciting adventure with so much variety of species and cases. Her favorite patients are the exotics as there is always something different and interesting to learn from the Doctors and the specialists they often consult with. The one thing that Cassidy enjoys most about her position is making a real difference in the lives of the animals she helps treat and the way that our clients appreciate her so much for helping them to understand how to best care for their furry family members. Cassidy’s motto is; Hydration is Key!
Outside of work, she loves to hike with her 2 dogs Nova and Nookie, especially in Glacier National Park. Having a close friendship circle to visit all the local hot springs with in Bozeman is a bonus.

Samantha

Patient Care Coordinator

Samantha hails from Colorado where she developed a strong passion and respect for animals of all species while spending time in the great outdoors. Growing up, Samantha always had a collection of pets from dogs and cats to rabbits, fish, and geckos. She followed her outdoor enthusiasm to Montana State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Ecology and Management in 2018. She has worked on a diversity of scientific projects studying Grizzly bears and Black bears, eagles and raptors, native fish, ungulates, and native songbirds. While she chose the wildlife path for her degree, she has always enjoyed domestic species and desired more hands-on work with animals of all kinds. Working with Dr. Lavelle and her team at Ark, Samantha has found the ultimate outlet for meeting all of her criteria for her skill set since it is a place where almost every species is welcomed and cared for. The constant diversity of cases seen daily at Ark keeps Samantha challenged and on her toes. Her special interests include exotic medicine, theriogenology, laboratory analysis, and intensive care of critical patients. Samantha truly enjoys daily developing friends ships with her clients at Ark. Samantha is a true blessing to work with and is always willing to help.
In pursuit of her passion to provide the best possible animal care to her patients, Samantha is completing her certification as a Certified Veterinary Technician. She has also achieved her certification as a euthanasia technician to assist clients in their time of need. In her free time, Samantha enjoys spending time outside in the mountains. You may find her fishing in a mountain lake, hiking through wildflowers with her favorite Frenchie Charlie, bow hunting with her Dad, or camping with friends.

Becca

Becca was born and raised in Greenwood Village, Colorado. She grew up spending as much time exploring the mountains and working with small and large animals. Becca ended up coming to Montana State University because of her passion for agriculture. She decided to pursue a degree in animal science on the pre-vet track with a minor in agricultural business. Becca is expected to graduate in the spring of 2027 where she would like to pursue veterinary medicine by applying to veterinary school. When Becca is not at work, you can find her skiing, fishing, and playing lacrosse with her friends!

Sydney

Sydney grew up in the small town of San Martin, California, where she developed a strong passion for animals and livestock through her involvement in 4-H and FFA starting at the age of six. Her hands-on experience raising livestock throughout her childhood laid the foundation for her career aspirations in veterinary medicine. She moved to Bozeman to attend Montana State University, where she is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in animal science. She hopes to continue her education in veterinary school following her undergraduate studies.
When she’s not studying or working, Sydney enjoys exploring  Montana, fishing, and baking.

Nicole

Nicole is a joyful and enthusiastic addition to the Ark Veterinary Practice team. Her positive energy, love for animals, and eagerness to learn make her a valuable part of the clinic.

She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in microbiology at Montana State University and plans to begin veterinary school in the fall of 2026. Originally from Deerfield, Illinois, Nicole grew up surrounded by animals and found her greatest inspiration through working with horses. Her passion for the hunter/jumper world not only shaped her love for animal care but also taught her dedication, patience, and compassion.

At Ark, Nicole is excited to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the well-being of every patient. Outside of work, she enjoys horseback riding, spending time outdoors, and caring for her pets.

Stevie

Veterinary Technician

Stevie is a Montana native who has grown up with a love and passion for helping a wide variety of animals. Stevie knew from a very young age that she wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine and so has made it her life long pursuit. She showed a variety of animals in 4H including horses, pigs, poultry, goats llamas, rabbits and even a chinchilla and a gecko. Stevie spent several years competing in rodeo and enjoys barrel racing in her free time. Stevie is currently attending Montana State University to gain her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and plans to apply to veterinary school in the Fall of 2019.  Stevie joined Ark Veterinary Practice in 2016 and plans on spending the next 3 years growing with the practice. Her special interests are in equine reproduction and surgical assisting. Stevie is a great asset to the Ark Care Team because of her large animals skills, her IT skills, her persistence to get deadlines met, and her determination to give every patient the very best of care. Stevie enjoys spending time with her family on the weekends and helping with chores at her parents ranch where she keeps her menagerie of animals including 6 mini donkeys and her miniature zebu.

Charlee

Charlee joined the team at Ark Veterinary Practice in the Fall of 2023. Her love for caring for animals and people started at a young age as she was surrounded by her family pack of dogs. Her passion to be a veterinarian started in elementary school which led her to help at her Idaho family farm with pigs and horses. In middle school began her love for exotics, after lizards came ferrets through adoption through a rescue. She now attends Montana State University in Animal Science curriculum with hopes to graduate vet school and continue her care of animals and their people for as long as she lives. Charlee loves to hike, run and do agility with her Australian Shepherd girl Pinecone.

 

 

Aubrey

Aubrey is from Silver Springs Nevada where her passion for animal care was realized while she worked in 4H with her dogs, rabbits, goats and horses. She worked on a horse farm before moving to Montana to pursue her undergraduate degree in Anthrozoology at Carrol College in Helena. Aubrey is completing her Internship at Ark Veterinary practice and plans to return for a year after graduating before starting vet school in the Fall of 2026. She aspires to serve her community as a large animal veterinarian in Montana in the future. In her free time she enjoys fishing for trout, hiking the local trails and playing softball.
